The Belimo LF230-S is a compact fail-safe (spring return) rotary actuator for controlling HVAC air dampers. During normal operation, it drives the damper to the operating position while tensioning the internal spring. On power interruption, the spring returns the damper to the safety position automatically.

It is designed for easy, direct mounting using a universal shaft clamp (8–16 mm) and offers a mechanically adjustable rotation limit to set the effective damper travel. The integrated auxiliary switch (SPDT) provides flexible end-position signalling for BMS interlocks and status feedback.
